A book of poetry, Markers, by Manatee Community College (MCC) Professor Suzanne Keyworth was published by Mayapple Press of Bay City, Michigan. Keyworth took a oneyear sabbatical to research and write poems in the voices of her deceased ancestors. The poems trace the history of her extended family from the 17th century to the present. A sixth-generation Floridian, Keyworth has taught English and literature at MCC for 17 years.

She first joined the hospital in 2001 as its Chief Nursing Officer and supervised the Division of Nursing, professional development, performance improvement, and the Pharmacy Department.
